Aptiv's Upcoming Spinoff of Electrical Distribution Systems to Unlock 'Significant' Shareholder Value, RBC Says

MT Newswires Live11-20

Aptiv's (APTV) upcoming spinoff of its Electrical Distribution Systems segment offers an opportunity for "significant" value creation, RBC Capital Markets analysts said in a Tuesday note.

The spinoff is expected to be leverage-neutral, with a special dividend from Electrical Distribution Systems used to lower debt and maintain New Aptiv's leverage ratio at a target range of 2.0x to 2.5x, analysts said.

RBC said that Aptiv's Other Industrials business offers substantial growth potential, enabling expansion into markets such as Aerospace, Defense, and Telecom.

Analysts noted that while the Other Industrials business is a smaller portion of the company's portfolio, expected to generate roughly 24% of 2025 revenue, it holds potential upside driven by trends like automation, electrification, and digitalization.

RBC has an outperform rating on the stock and a $101 price target.
