Coursera is partnering with Anthropic to launch two online courses to teach customers about effectively using Anthropic's Claude large language model.

The two specializations - Building with the Claude API and Real-World AI for Everyone - are intended to address the divide between AI capabilities and real-world implementation, the companies said Tuesday.

"We know many people are still learning how to collaborate with AI safely and effectively," Maggie Vo, Anthropic's head of education, said. "These courses address that gap by giving learners the skills and confidence to get the most out of Claude, from the fundamentals of getting started up to building agents."

The first specialization is geared towards developers, with courses about integrating Claude into their workflows. The second is aimed at all experience levels and focuses on the fundamentals of AI usage for professionals.

Anthropic said it was collaborating with Advancing Women in Technology on the second specialization to broaden access to artificial intelligence training.

On Monday, Coursera appointed Mark Foley as interim chief financial officer while the search for a permanent appointment continues. Foley recently served as an adviser to AI and technology firms through New Enterprise Associates.
