L3Harris Technologies (LHX) said Tuesday it signed to memorandum of understanding with UAE-based defense contractor Edge Group to jointly pursue national and regional defense opportunities in the United Arab Emirates.
The MOU sets a framework for joint research and development in artificial intelligence and autonomy and for deploying the technologies, L3Harris said.
Shares of the company were up over 1% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
