Spire Global (SPIR) said Tuesday that nine satellites designed and built by its teams have been shipped to Vandenberg Space Force Base in California before their launch aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 Twilight mission.
The mission includes Spire's Hyperspectral Microwave Sounder satellite demonstrator, a sensor built to improve weather forecasting from space, the company said.
The launch will also include seven satellites for customers and one constellation replenishment satellite to back Spire's operational data missions, the company said.
