Stocks to Watch Tuesday: Home Depot, Axalta, Baidu -- WSJ

Home Depot $(HD)$: The home-improvement company's earnings are due this morning, kicking off a batch of big-box retailer earnings this week. Earnings are also expected early Tuesday from Chinese online retailer PDD $(PDD)$.

Baidu (BIDU, HK:9888): Shares in the Chinese technology company rallied 2% in U.S. premarket trading after it posted third-quarter results.

Xiaomi (HK:1810): The Chinese EV and smartphone maker also posted earnings early Tuesday. Xiaomi stock sold off in Hong Kong beforehand.

Fannie Mae (FNMA): Investor Bill Ackman is due to share a proposal this morning on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (FMCC). The Trump administration is considering IPOs for the two mortgage companies, which currently trade over the counter.

Axalta Coating Systems $(AXTA)$: The paint maker agreed to merge with AkzoNobel (NL:AKZA) to create a trans-Atlantic company worth about $17 billion. Axalta shares jumped over 8% premarket. AkzoNobel inched lower in the Netherlands.
