BP Reportedly Continuing Search for Pacific Northwest Pipeline Leak

MT Newswires Live11-24

BP (BP) continued to search for the source of a leak on its Olympic Pipeline near Everett, Washington, on Sunday, nearly two weeks after the breach was detected, news outlets reported.

The leak has disrupted fuel supplies to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, news outlets reported.

BP was quoted by Reuters saying it had excavated over 100 feet of the 400-mile pipeline as of Friday but had not yet "identified the source of the release."

The pipeline, shut down for nearly a week, moves fuel from northern Washington to Oregon, news outlets reported.

BP did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
