- Netflix NFLX.O, Paramount PSKY.O and Comcast CMCSA.O submitted bids to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns the Warner Bros. movie studio, HBO, and cable networks such as CNN and TNT.

- GE Appliances announced $150 million in new contractsto 19 suppliers in 10 states, which will supply components for the washers and dryers, as part of a longstanding corporate strategy to bring production back to the United States from China.

- ByHeart, the company linked to an outbreak of botulism from infant formula, said a private lab had found the bacteria Clostridium botulinum, which causes the illness in samples of its product.
