A portable XRF recorded 15 per cent copper indicating a higher-grade zone than previously mapped. It suggests Ferro South may host a robust near-surface copper system with potential for open-cut mineralisation.Visible minerals identified by the onsite geologist include the copper oxides chrysocolla and atacamite occurring within the fractured and altered host rock. The sample and others collected from the same area have been despatched to the assay laboratory with results expected in the coming weeks.An upcoming drill program at Ferro South is designed to test the oxide copper zone and potential extensions connecting the Ferro South target to the larger Llahuin copper-gold-moly system and a magnetotellurics (MT) anomaly. The Llahuin copper-gold-molybdenum project has defined resources of 218.2 million tonnes grading 0.38 per cent copper equivalent for 496,600t of copper, 654,900 ounces of gold and 12,500t of molybdenum. It is located within 100kms of some of the giant copper gold deposits in Chile and Argentina, including Los Pelambres and El Espino.The Ferro South prospect is located within a six-kilometre-long mineralised corridor within the Llahuin Project, which hosts multiple copper–gold–molybdenum porphyry centres. Field mapping completed in June and July 2025 identified argillic alteration, silicification and epithermal quartz veining at the surface, along with zones of secondary copper mineralisation assemblages typical of the upper levels of a copper porphyry system. Previous drilling at Ferro South includes 122m @ 0.41% CuEq and 110m@ 0.32 CuEq.The Llahuin Project has delivered results like 105m at 0.64% copper equivalent from surface to end of hole, including 26m at 0.91% copper equivalent from 78m.Re-logging of historic drillholes confirmed these features at depth, with intervals showing hydrothermal alteration, silicification, and disseminated chalcopyrite–pyrite mineralisation. These observations suggest a telescoped system, characterised by epithermal-style veining and alteration preserved above a deeper porphyry core.The Llahuin Project is an ‘A’ rated jurisdiction in a workable location. It has a substantial and growing resource underpinning its value. The Ferro South prospect is just one of several high-quality prospects located within a six-kilometre-long mineralised corridor. That corridor hosts multiple porphyry centres all exhibiting diagnostic argillic and potassic alteration, silicification and epithermal quartz veining at surface.
