Enviri (NVRI) said Friday it agreed to sell its Clean Earth unit to Veolia for $3.04 billion in cash, while adding its shareholders will retain full ownership of the remaining Harsco Environmental and Rail through a spin-off into a standalone publicly traded entity.
Shares of Enviri surged 28% as intraday trading volume soared to nearly 9.11 million from a daily average of over 1.21 million.
