Alliance International Education's Profit Slides in Fiscal H1; Shares Jump 3%

Alliance International Education Leasing (HKG:1563) saw a decline in attributable profit for the six months ended Sept. 30 to 88.6 million yuan from 103.2 million yuan in the year-ago period, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Shares of the finance leasing provider were up 3% in Friday afternoon trading.

Earnings per share stood at 0.0524 yuan in the interim period, down from 0.0610 yuan in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.

Revenue jumped 11% to 372.7 million yuan in the half year from 334.7 million yuan a year prior.
