Chinese Universe Publishing and Media Issues Two Ultra-Short-Term Commercial Papers Worth 1 Billion Yuan; Shares Dip 4%

Chinese Universe Publishing and Media (SHA:600373) issued two tranches of ultra-short-term commercial paper totaling 1 billion yuan, the company's fourth and fifth tranches of such bonds in the year, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Friday.

Both tranches amount to 500 million yuan each and have a coupon rate of 1.63%. Both of them have a term of 270 days, but the fourth tranche's maturity date is on Aug. 1, 2026 and the fifth tranche will mature Aug. 2, 2026.

Industrial Bank (SHA:601166) served as the bookrunner and lead underwriter of the fourth tranche, while Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SHA:600000) acted as bookrunner and lead underwriter of the fifth tranche.

The Chinese publishing company's shares dropped over 4% during the afternoon trade.
