Samsung Electronics Appoints Technology Chief for DX Division, Memory Business Head in Executive Reshuffle; Shares Decline 5%

Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) appointed Samsung Venture Investment Chief Executive Officer and Vice President Yoon Jang-hyun as its DX division chief technology officer and president, along with Samsung Research head, under its 2026 regular executive reshuffle, the electronics products maker said Friday.

Vice Chairman Jeon Young-hyun, chief executive officer and head of the DS division, was also named head of the Memory Business Division at Samsung Electronics after being the president of SAIT.

Meanwhile, Noh Tae-moon, the acting head of Samsung Electronics DX Division and president, was named president and CEO of Samsung Electronics and head of DX Division and MX Division.

The company also appointed Park Hong-geun as Samsung Electronics SAIT president.

Shares of Samsung Electronics fell 5% in recent trade.
