Autodesk CEO Says Entertainment Industry Demand Has Stabilized -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-27

1102 ET - Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost says demand in the digital design company's media and entertainment vertical has stabilized. The actors' and writers' strikes in 2023 "just forced a reckoning in the industry. People redistributed how they were doing things, what was getting done," Anagnost tells WSJ. The industry, he adds, has "found its level, it's found its new normal, and people are starting now to build the content they want." He adds that Autodesk stands to benefit from a shift away from the flood of new production at the height of the streaming boom and toward high-quality, low-cost content. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
