Wens Foodstuff Pledges HK$40 Million For Hong Kong Fire Relief

Wens Foodstuff (SHE:300498) has committed HK$40 million in combined cash and materials to support the recovery and reconstruction efforts following the recent fire at Wang Fook Court in Tai Po District, Hong Kong.

The funds will come from the broiler chicken and pig breeder's own funds, it said in a Shenzhen Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.

The Hong Kong fire at a public housing complex has killed at least 83 people, BBC reported. More than 270 people remain missing, while thousands are in evacuation shelters, the report said.
