Leidos (LDOS) and Quadridox said Tuesday they are partnering to combine their imaging technologies into a single baggage-screening system.
Financial terms were not provided.
The companies said they will combine Leidos' computed tomography platform with Quadridox's X-ray diffraction system to give airports a detailed threat analysis tool. The integrated setup is expected to reduce false alarms and raise detection rates while maintaining current screening throughput, they added.
The companies said internal testing has produced strong results, and data collection and algorithm development are underway ahead of an airport trial planned for 2026.
