Panasonic Holdings (TYO:6752) will absorb and dissolve its consolidated subsidiary, Panasonic Corp., in a simplified merger effective April 1, 2026, according to its Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.
The move is part of a broader organizational restructuring that will see the subsidiary's main businesses split off into three new operating companies.
As the subsidiary is wholly-owned, the merger will not involve any allotment of shares or other consideration.
