Energy stocks were advancing premarket Friday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) up 0.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 0.4% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.5% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.4% at $58.92 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.3% to $63.17 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 2.3% higher at $4.66 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR), also known as Petrobras, said it expects $109 billion in total investments from 2026 through 2030. Petrobras shares were down more than 1% pre-bell.
