SAP (SAP) and its America unit were sued by o9 Solutions for allegedly stealing confidential information related to its supply chain management software, according to a filing on Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
The complaint claims SAP accessed more than 20,000 internal files taken by three former o9 executives who joined SAP and now hold senior roles.
The stolen materials were allegedly used by SAP to build and sell competing software, the complaint said.
O9 is seeking a court order to block SAP from using the disputed materials, along with unspecified punitive or exemplary damages in a jury trial, according to the filing.
SAP did not immediately respond to a request for a comment from MT Newswires.
