A consortium with Shenyang Aluminum & Magnesium Design and Research Institute, a unit of China Aluminum International Engineering (HKG:2068, SHA:601068) or Chalieco, won the bid for the Qingtongxia electrolytic cell upgrade project for 2.91 billion yuan, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Friday.
The project includes replacing the small cell units with larger cell units.
Shenyang Aluminum will be responsible for the design, material and equipment procurement and construction of the project.
