U.K. Banks' Resilience Rises, BOE Stress Test Shows -- Market Talk

1501 GMT - Results of the Bank of England stress tests show that U.K. banks are resilient and able to withstand shocks that lead to severe recession, CreditSights analysts say in a note. The BOE stress test is regarded as credible by markets, the analysts add. The test showed that no U.K. banks were required to strengthen their capital structures, which is "a positive sign of increased resilience," the analysts say. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
