Market Chatter: Singapore Exchange Denies Reports of Buying Cboe Global Markets Australian Unit

MT Newswires12-04 11:40

Singapore Exchange (SGX:S68) has no plans to buy the Australian unit of Cboe Global Markets, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing a spokesperson for the exchange.

This comes after an article in the Australian Financial Review claimed that the city-state's exchange was exploring the possibility of acquiring Cboe Australia, the report said.

Cboe Australia's parent company is looking to sell its Australian and Canadian units, the report said.
