LKQ has begun a review to consider selling its specialty segment, which supplies automotive, RV, and marine parts.
The distributor of automotive parts and accessories said Thursday that the review is part of its broader strategy to simplify its portfolio and concentrate on core segments.
Chief Executive Justin Jude said that timing and market conditions are ideal for considering the potential sale. "Current market conditions present an attractive environment to assess divestiture options and ensure we maximize the value of this best-in-class business," Jude said.
LKQ hasn't given any timeline for the potential sale, but said that it will only pursue a transaction that appropriately reflects the company's view of the market value of the business.
