Yee Hop Reports Higher Fiscal H1 Profit Despite Lower Revenue; Shares Gain 6%

Yee Hop (HKG:1662) reported a HK$39.6 million profit attributable to owners of the company for the six months ended Sept. 30, up from HK$32.4 million a year earlier, according to a Nov. 28 Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the engineering and construction services company were up nearly 6% in Monday morning trade.

Earnings per share for the fiscal first-half came in at HK$0.08, compared with HK$0.06 in the prior-year period.

Revenue fell to HK$481.3 million from HK$661.7 million.

The board declared a special dividend of HK$0.15 per share, payable on Dec. 31 to shareholders on record as of Dec. 19.
