Planet Labs PBC (PL) said late Friday it launched its high-resolution Pelican-5 and Pelican-6 satellites to orbit.
The company's new satellites are designed to capture 40-centimeter-class resolution imagery across six multispectral bands.
Planet Labs said it intends to launch its next generation of Pelican satellites next year that will be designed to achieve up to 30 cm-class resolution.
The company's shares were down 1.2% in recent premarket activity Monday.
