Boeing Defense CEO Steve Parker Says Trump Administration Uninterested in Taking Defense Stakes

MT Newswires Live12-08

Boeing (BA) Defense, Space, and Security Chief Executive Steve Parker said that President Donald Trump's plans for taking minority stakes in strategic firms do not include major defense contractors, Reuters reported Sunday, citing comments at an industry conference.

"It really only applies [to companies] on the supply chain, particularly for the smaller companies coming through where that might be a way forward for them," Reuters quoted Parker as saying.

"I don't think it really applies to the Primes," he was quoted as saying, referring to companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin (LMT), and RTX (RTX).

Boeing did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
