SMJ International Shares Rise on NYSE Debut

SMJ International (SMJF) shares rose sharply on its New York Stock Exchange debut on Thursday.

The shares were recently trading at $4.80 apiece, up 20% from an initial public offering price of $4.

The company priced its IPO of 2.5 million class A common shares Wednesday for gross proceeds of $10 million.

Underwriters were granted a 45-day overallotment option to purchase up to an additional 375,000 shares.

The IPO is expected to be completed on Friday, subject to closing conditions.
