Chongqing Changan Automobile (SHE:000625) will introduce vehicles from its Avatr and Nevo EV lines in Europe over the next two years, Reuters reported Thursday, citing its global chief of design.
The Chinese automobile manufacturer has focused on launching fully electric models on the continent and could also start selling hybrids and plug-in hybrids if the demand is enough, the report said, citing Klaus Zyciora, vice president and global head of design.
In March, Changan said it plans to start sales across 10 European markets and is planning to construct a factory on the continent to skirt European Union tariffs, the report said.
