The People's Insurance Company (Group) of China (HKG:1339) said its vice president Yu Ze was under investigation from Chinese authorities, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Sunday.
Shares of the insurer gained over 1% in morning trade Monday.
Yu is under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission for suspected serious violations of discipline and law, the company said.
The firm said the matter did not affect its management and operations.
