Torrent Power (NSE:TORNTPOWER, BOM:532779) has signed a long-term sale and purchase agreement with Japan's JERA Co. for up to 0.27 MMTPA of LNG over 10 years starting 2027, according to a Monday filing.
The LNG will be used to run the company's 2,730 MW gas-based power plants and support demand at its city gas distribution unit, Torrent Gas, the filing said.
