MEXICO CITY, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Mexican lender Banorte GFNORTEO.MX will begin offering its banking services at the nation's ubiquitous Oxxo convenience stores, Oxxo parent Femsa FEMSAUBD.MX said on Thursday.
Customers can make cash deposits to Banorte accounts and credit card payments at Oxxo stores during extended hours, including weekends.
According to Femsa, Banorte now operates more than 44,000 service points nationwide, making it the most extensive banking network in Mexico's financial system.
Oxxo has partnered with a number of other lenders in recent months for cash deposit services, including Brazil's Nubank NU.N.
