Court Dismisses CITIC Securities Unit's Reconsideration Application Over Securities Misrepresentation Case

A court dismissed the reconsideration application of CITIC Securities' (SHA:600030, HKG:6030) unit, CITIC Securities South China, and seven other defendants over a securities misrepresentation case, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Friday.

The proceedings involved the scope of rights of investors who purchased shares in Tunghsu Optoelectronic Technology (SHE:000413) between 2016 and 2024.

The plaintiffs claimed 1.8 million yuan from the case, but the final amount remains uncertain as the case will be tried under the ordinary representative proceedings and the trial has not yet commenced, the Chinese securities trading company said.
