Energy stocks were leaning lower premarket Monday, with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 1.5% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 5.9% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.9% at $59.54 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.9% to $63.20 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 4.4% lower at $5.06 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
TotalEnergies (TTE) said its shares have started trading on the New York Stock Exchange, replacing the listing of its American depositary receipts. Shares of TotalEnergies were down 1.2% pre-bell.
