ASML (ASML) is facing renewed scrutiny after a report by the Dutch television program Nieuwsuur alleged that at least one of its customers has links to the Chinese military, Reuters reported Tuesday.
Nieuwsuur's report, which was based on Chinese trade data, claimed that ASML supplied parts to a subsidiary of China Electronics Technology Group, a key state-owned contractor for the People's Liberation Army, Reuters reported.
The report also indicated ASML sold equipment to Shenzhen International Quantum Academy, SiEn, and SMBC, a unit of China's largest chipmaker, SMIC, according to Reuters.
ASML told Reuters it could not confirm Nieuwsuur's report and that it follows all export rules.
ASML did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
