Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google unit said Monday it has launched updates for the Galaxy XR headset, including PC Connect and Likeness, both rolling out in beta.
The company said PC Connect allows users to link their headset with a Windows PC to multitask or stream games alongside Android apps in a virtual environment.
Google said Likeness allows users to create realistic digital avatars that replicate facial expressions and gestures during video calls.
The new travel mode feature stabilizes the headset's display in motion, turning cramped spaces like airplane seats into immersive work or entertainment setups, the company added.
Google also said it is planning two types of AI-powered glasses with Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker (WRBY) for 2026, including display-enabled versions for real-time information and lightweight, screen-free models for natural interaction.
The company said Android XR will support wired XR glasses like XREAL's Project Aura, and that Developer Preview 3 of its XR SDK is now available to help developers build for these devices.
Shares of Warby Parker were up 14%, while Alphabet's stock was down about 2.6% in recent trading.
