Market Chatter: Boeing Expected to Beat Airbus in Annual Orders, Airbus CEO Says

MT Newswires Live12-10

Boeing (BA) may beat Airbus in annual orders for the first time in six years, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing comments by Airbus Chief Executive Guillaume Faury on French public radio channel France Inter.

Boeing recorded 908 net orders in the first 11 months of the year, ahead of Airbus orders for 700, according to the report.

Faury said Boeing orders were boosted by settlements of tariff disputes with several countries, while Airbus does not anticipate a near-term major order from China, Reuters said.

Faury also said Airbus has completed a software recall that affected A320-family jets, according to Reuters.
