Costco Wholesale to See Topline Lift From Extended Store Hours, BofA Says

Costco Wholesale's (COST) topline is expected to see continued support from extended store hours and likely offset tougher comps, BofA Securities said.

General and administrative costs to be pressured by employee agreements, an increase in operating hours, and healthcare costs outpacing sales growth, the brokerage said in a Thursday research report.

The company's fiscal Q1 earnings beat was driven by both traffic and ticket sales. Supply-chain enhancements and marketing revenue also supported margins.

The rise in digital traffic was driven by website and app improvements as well as targeted member communications, according to the investment firm.

BofA now expects fiscal 2026 and 2027 EPS of $20 and $21.70, respectively, from $19.72 and $21 earlier.

The firm reiterated its buy rating on the stock and price objective of $1,095 per share.
