Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) confirmed that any legal proceedings against the company or its Chief Executive, Stephen Baghdadi, by US 1 Critical Minerals (ASX:USC) will be "vigorously defended," according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

On Monday, US 1 Critical Minerals started proceedings with the Federal Court of Australia seeking an order to stop Baghdadi from encumbering, selling, disposing or dealing with certain US tenements.

Dateline Resources' confirmation follows a Thursday Court hearing that ordered US 1 Critical Minerals to provide more information about its claim ahead of a further hearing on Dec. 23, the filing said.

Baghdadi agreed to maintain the status quo regarding the tenements in US 1 Critical Minerals' claims, the filing added.

Shares of the company rose 2% in recent Friday trade.
