Alphabet's YouTube TV to Launch Genre-Specific Plans in Early 2026

Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) YouTube TV will introduce at least 10 new genre-specific subscription packages in early 2026.

The plans are designed to give subscribers "more choice" and will allow viewers to stay with the main package or select sports, news, family, or entertainment bundles, the company said Wednesday in a blog post.

The sports plan will include access to major broadcasters and networks such as Fox's (FOX) FS1, Comcast's (CMCSA) NBC Sports Network, Walt Disney-owned (DIS) ESPN networks, and ESPN Unlimited, YouTube said.

Pricing for the new packages was not disclosed.
