Microsoft (MSFT) vowed to create a super intelligence "aligned with human interests" and to stop all development if the technology threatened people, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing consumer artificial intelligence chief Mustafa Suleyman.
In an interview on Bloomberg Weekend's "The Mishal Husain Show," Suleyman pledged a commitment to safety as Microsoft ramps up its internal AI efforts, the report said.
"We won't continue to develop a system that has the potential to run away from us," Suleyman said in the interview, according to the report.
Microsoft didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
