1844 ET - Costco is changing its assortment of products in some areas to mitigate tariffs, Chief Financial Officer Gary Millerchip says on a call with analysts. The wholesaler has a lower number of product types this holiday season than it has in prior years, Millerchip says. That's because the company has cut out some tariff-affected items, he says. Costco and its buyers are also offsetting tariff costs by changing the country of production for some items, sourcing more items from the U.S. and leaning into Costco's Kirkland Signature brand where the company has more control over the supply chain, Millerchip says.
