1214 GMT - HSBC has significant competitive advantage in Hong Kong deposits and the Asian wealth market, analysts at Bank of America write. Consensus views on HSBC's growth in the two markets underestimate its potential to increase market share, the analysts say. The bank is also successfully downsizing in areas where it lacks competitive edge and its stock continues to trade cheaply, they write. Bank of America upgrades its rating on the stock to buy from hold. HSBC shares in London are up 2.4% at 1,093.60 pence and are 39% higher over the year to date. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
