More than 1,000 Sysco drivers and warehouse workers in Northern California and Nevada ratified a four-year agreement that provides a 34% wage increase, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said.

In October, more than 400 Teamsters at Sysco San Francisco voted to authorize a strike at the foodservice company. According to the union's website, workers in Reno and Sacramento joined the negotiations, leading to a regional contract for three locals.

The union said in early October that Sysco employees in Portland, Ore., authorized a potential strike.
