0026 GMT - Samsung Electro-Mechanics could post above-consensus 4Q earnings thanks to solid demand for multilayer ceramic capacitors and substrates used in artificial-intelligence data servers and vehicles, Daiwa Capital analysts S.K. Kim and Daekoon Kim write in a note. Earnings at the electronics-component maker will likely continue to improve on tight MLCC supply next year, they say. The analysts expect MLCC prices to rebound from 2Q 2026, driven by high-end products amid tight inventories. They expect robust demand for AI data servers to continue through 2027. The factory utilization rate of the company is expected to remain above 90%, they add.(kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
