1000 GMT - Entain's new chief financial officer pick might raise some concerns over his lack of prior gaming experience, Goodbody analyst David Brohan writes in a note. The sports-betting and gambling group has appointed Michael Snape as its next finance chief, succeeding Rob Wood, who will step down after 13 years with the company. "The absence of prior gaming experience may be a slight concern for some," Brohan says. However, this aligns with executive-recruitment trends within the sector in recent years, he adds. Wood leaves Entain on solid footing, having delivered an earnings inflection across both its core operations and BetMGM business, its U.S. joint venture with MGM Resorts International, Brohan says. Shares are down 3.3% at 7.34 pounds. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
