Microsoft (MSFT) is facing a 2.1 billion-pound ($2.81 billion) lawsuit for allegedly overcharging customers who use cloud computing services from Amazon (AMZN), Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Alibaba (BABA), Reuters reported Thursday.

Complainants alleged that Microsoft is making it more expensive to access Windows on other cloud platforms compared with those who use Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing service, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is asking for the dismissal of the case.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
