Nissan, Wayve to Work on AI Driver Assistance Technology

Nissan Motor and U.K. self-driving car startup Wayve have agreed to work on bringing artificial-intelligence-driven driver assistance to mass-produced vehicles worldwide.

The Japanese automaker said Wednesday that it planned to introduce the first model equipped with driver assistance using Wayve's AI technology in Japan in the fiscal year starting in April 2027.

Nissan said it is committed to deploying Wayve's AI systems at scale across a broad range of vehicle segments.
