IonQ Collaboration With Einride Optimizes Ship Allocation Using Quantum Computing

MT Newswires Live12-10

IonQ's (IONQ) collaboration with freight operations firm Einride has resulted in the modularization of fleet orchestration, with quantum algorithms optimizing ship allocation while accounting for critical real-world constraints, Einride said Wednesday.

The two firms initially evaluated 15 potential use cases within the Einride ecosystem, including shipment scheduling, load building, and energy trading, the company said.

Quantum processing has been integrated into the existing workflow, offering customers optimization capabilities that are unavailable with classical computing alone, Einride said.
