Prudential Financial's board authorized a share buyback program of up to $1 billion.
The buyback will be effective from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2026, the financial services company said Wednesday.
The timing and amount of share repurchases under the program will be decided by management based on market conditions and other considerations.
Prudential's board approved a $1 billion buyback in December 2024 as well.
