Wind Farm Developers Gain Clarity After Judge Rejects Trump Order -- Market Talk

Dow Jones12-09

1413 GMT - A federal judge has rejected the Trump administration's halt of wind-energy permits, removing uncertainty for developers, RBC Capital Markets analysts write. A federal judge on Monday struck down an order by Trump to halt all federal approvals for new wind energy projects, saying that efforts to implement his directive were "arbitrary and capricious and contrary to law," the bank notes. The judge said reasoned explanationsweren't provided when carrying out Trump's directive, RBC adds. "The ruling should put to rest any remaining uncertainty for developers with projects currently under construction in the U.S." Orsted shares rise 0.4%, Vestas shares fall 0.5%.
