Vertical Aerospace (EVTL) said late Tuesday it is working with Bristow Group (VTOL) and Skyports Infrastructure to launch the first electric air-taxi routes in the UK, between Canary Wharf and major transport hubs.

The first phase of the project, planned in Q1 of 2029, will focus on the country's highest-value corridors, Vertical Aerospace said. The initially proposed routes to and from Canary Wharf would include Heathrow, Gatwick, Cambridge, and Oxford, the company added.

Further, Vertical Aerospace said it aims to produce 175 units of its new electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, Valo, by 2030 and ramp up to over 225 units annually by Q4 of the same year.
